The Editing Process

Here is some Images of our chief editor, working on our rough cut.

The image shows the software Final Cut is being used for the bulk of the editing process. We are using new iMac for editing. Lucky us.

Here is an image of our camera shy chief editor, Dan Spurway, he is one to two people responsible for the editing of the video the second being Alex Preston.

Another shot of the editing process, from the image you can see the number of different 'Bins' being used to organize the shots. We have 4 distinct 'Bins' Jane1, Jane2, Band 1, Band 2. This allows for more simple search for clips. And also a more simple link between the clips. As in Band 1'Bin', a shot labeled Take 1 will be the Take 1in Band 2 'Bin' but from a different angle. This reduces the continuity errors during the editing process.
The Dreaded Render Bar!!!! This image shows the pure hatred of this bar. The render bar appears every time a video or audio file is moved in the timeline. The render time is based of the length of the file. But as we work of a centralised system we can access the work from any college computer, making the render bar slightly less tedious.
